My Health Philosophy
A science-based approach to restoring metabolic & hormonal health
Inspired by My Own Health Journey

My health philosophy is shaped by the groundbreaking work of Dr. Ray Peat, a pioneering researcher who challenged conventional thinking on nutrition, metabolism, thyroid health, and hormones. His insights have transformed countless lives, including my own—his guidance helped me recover from severe hypothyroidism and significant hormonal imbalances. Inspired by my recovery, I now help others address their metabolic and hormonal challenges using the techniques I learned from Dr. Ray Peat.
Who Was Dr. Ray Peat?

Dr. Raymond Peat
1936 – 2022
Raymond Franklin Peat (1936–2022) was a distinguished American scholar with a Ph.D. in biology who devoted more than half a century to studying the complex relationships among nutrition, metabolism, hormones, and health.
Dr. Peat emphasized the critical role of cellular energy in maintaining the body’s proper structure and function. He proposed that many diseases arise from an imbalance between the body’s energy supply and the demands of its environment.
Since the active thyroid hormone T3 regulates the metabolic rate—and therefore determines how efficiently the body converts food into energy—he regarded optimal thyroid function as a cornerstone of overall health. He argued that many people suffer from a wide range of symptoms that could be effectively addressed through accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment of underactive thyroid function, also known as hypothyroidism.
Throughout his extensive research, Dr. Peat explored topics such as optimal dietary practices to support thyroid and metabolic health, effective thyroid medications, the importance of natural anti-aging and anti-stress hormones such as progesterone and pregnenolone, and the use of light therapy and other lifestyle choices to sustain metabolic health and cellular energy production.
Core Principles
Metabolic Food Mastery™
The modern Western diet—and even many so-called “health diets”—contain foods that suppress thyroid function, slow metabolism, and reduce cellular energy production.
In contrast, my dietary recommendations emphasize foods that enhance thyroid function while discouraging those that inhibit metabolic activity. My dietary approach is strongly influenced by the nutritional research of Dr. Ray Peat, often referred to as the "Ray Peat diet".
Many of my nutritional recommendations stand in sharp contrast to conventional dietary advice. However, the strong biochemical foundation behind each recommendation appeals to those seeking a deeper, more scientific understanding of how nutrition truly influences health. In my practice, adopting my pro-metabolic dietary principles is always the first step. By implementing my diet, you can profoundly shift your body into a higher-energy state that supports repair, healing, and vibrant well-being.
Metabolic Food Mastery™ →Thyroid Optimization™
For some people, following my pro-metabolic diet is enough to significantly increase their metabolic rate and improve overall health. However, for others, additional support—such as thyroid medication may be necessary.
My philosophy is that the common practice of relying solely on levothyroxine (T4) to treat hypothyroidism can be inadequate, or even problematic, especially for those who struggle to convert T4 into the active thyroid hormone T3. I advocate a treatment approach that combines T4 and T3 in a ratio of about 3:1, more closely reflecting the natural secretion of the human thyroid gland.
While I do not prescribe medication, I often work with individuals who are already on some form of thyroid replacement therapy from their doctor. I can help you better understand your thyroid medication and suggest possible improvements to your treatment plan. For those without a prescription, over-the-counter thyroid replacement options are available in certain countries.
Thyroid Optimization™ →Hormone Optimization™
My health recommendations often include supplementation with the body’s natural youth-associated hormones, progesterone and pregnenolone. These hormones are well known for their anti-estrogenic, anti-stress, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging effects. Supplementing with progesterone and pregnenolone supports a variety of health concerns, including hypothyroidism, stress, inflammation, PMS, infertility, and age-related degenerative conditions.
Hormone Optimization™ →Bioenergetic Supplements™
Used wisely, supplements fill nutrient gaps and give your cells the specific raw materials they need to make energy. I focus on the few that consistently make a difference — vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, and the B-vitamins — alongside metabolic superfoods that lower stress hormones and support healthy thyroid and hormone production. The goal is never to replace good food, but to give your body the right tool at the right time, in the right dose.
Bioenergetic Supplements™ →Metabolic Living™
How you live each day — the light you get, how you sleep, how you move, and the environment around you — directly shapes your thyroid, your hormones, and your daily energy. I teach you to use bright daylight, red and orange light therapy, restorative sleep, and gentle movement so your metabolism stays supported every day, not just when you're trying.
Metabolic Living™ →Gut Restoration™
I see the gut as the foundation of metabolic health. When endotoxin from an irritated, overgrown gut leaks into the bloodstream, it poisons cellular energy production and lowers thyroid function. I show you which fibers feed bad bacteria, which antimicrobial fibers (raw carrot and cooked bamboo) keep the gut clean, and which probiotics actually work — so digestion calms, inflammation drops, and the rest of your metabolism can recover.
Gut Restoration™ →Why This Approach Works
By focusing on the root cause - cellular energy production - rather than just symptoms, this approach addresses the underlying imbalances that lead to thyroid dysfunction, hormonal issues, and metabolic slowdown. My health principles go beyond quick fixes; they are grounded in a deep understanding of how the body functions at the biochemical level. While my guidance often brings rapid symptom relief, the true goal is lasting metabolic and hormonal health.
