In these sessions, there is a focus on your thyroid function and hormonal balance. My thyroid promoting diet and health advice is customized to your needs.

The counseling sessions take place via Google video call, so long distance is no problem. You will get a link for the video call and you do not need to install any program. I speak English and Danish.

The first session:

In the first session, there is a focus on your metabolic and hormonal issues, and I evaluate your thyroid function. You can test your thyroid function using the home thyroid test I describe in my book Test Your Thyroid Function. You can send your pulse rate and temperature measurements prior to the first session.

If you have had thyroid function blood tests done, these are also taken into account and can be e-mailed prior to the first session. I can also guide you on which blood tests to have done at your doctor if these will be helpful in getting the full picture of your metabolic status. In my Thyroid Recovery & Renewal course, you can learn more about thyroid blood tests.

Following sessions:

When your thyroid function has been evaluated, we work together to customise the diet recommendations to your needs, and I look at what supplements are important for you.

My hypothyroid treatment method includes — besides the thyroid supporting diet — also nutritional supplements to support metabolism and hormones, natural desiccated thyroid as well as hormonal support with progesterone and pregnenolone.

Many clients have problems with very high stress hormones and inflammatory symptoms, so diet and supplement advice to lower stress and inflammation is often an important subject.

If you need more thyroid support than obtained from diet and nutritional supplement changes, I can help you use natural thyroid supplements to boost your thyroid gland. I do not prescribe medication, but I often work with people who are on prescription thyroid medication from their doctor. In these cases, I can help you manage and understand your medication and your body's reaction to it. My book How to Use Thyroid Medication is also a valuable resource for this. Many clients have problems with estrogen dominance and progesterone deficiency — in these cases, hormonal support compounds are often useful, and I cover these in my Hormone Rebalance Intensive™ course.

You can read more about my consultation services, including both the single session and the consultation package.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the first consultation session?

The first session focuses on your metabolic and hormonal issues. I evaluate your thyroid function — you can send pulse rate and temperature measurements before we meet, and if you have had thyroid blood tests done, I take those into account as well. Together we get a clear picture of your metabolic status and agree on the direction forward.

What do the following sessions cover?

Once your thyroid function has been evaluated, I work with you to customise the diet recommendations to your individual needs and identify which supplements are most important for you. We also look at whether thyroid replacement therapy, hormonal support, or stress and inflammation reduction should be part of your programme.

Do you prescribe thyroid medication?

No, I do not prescribe medication. However, I frequently work with clients who are already on prescription thyroid medication from their doctor. In those cases, I can help you understand how the medication works, how your body is responding to it, and how to get the most out of your treatment. My book How to Use Thyroid Medication covers this in detail.

Can I book a session if I live outside Denmark?

Yes. All sessions take place via Google video call, so distance is no problem at all. You will receive a link for the call and do not need to install any software. I conduct sessions in both English and Danish.

What does the pro-metabolic approach to thyroid health involve?

My approach combines a thyroid-supporting diet, targeted nutritional supplements, thyroid replacement therapy where appropriate, and hormonal support with compounds such as progesterone and pregnenolone. Many clients also need specific support for high stress hormones and inflammatory symptoms. It is a whole-body approach rather than focusing on the thyroid gland in isolation. You can read more in my Thyroid Recovery & Renewal course.
